Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK

The Bowelbabe Fund was created in honour of Dame Deborah James — a fearless campaigner, storyteller and advocate who inspired millions with her honesty, humour and rebellious hope.

Diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer at 35, Deborah dedicated her life to raising awareness, supporting others and funding research. Whether dancing with her children or donning a poo‑emoji costume to break taboos, she helped countless people feel seen, supported and less alone.

In 2022, together with her family, Deborah launched the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK to make one final, powerful stand against cancer.
